Bio Bay (Vieques)
On the island of Vieques there is a narrow, shallow bay surrounded by mangroves known as “Mosquito Bay”. This bay is home to a very unique microscopic organism that emits a phosphorescent light when the calm salt water is disturbed. What is so unique about the light emitted is that is blue-green and is brighter than the light of a flashlight – it is truly a magnificent sight and singular experience.
